Academic Administration

The Academic Administration is responsible for organizing, managing, developing, and monitoring educational, training, and professional programs. It oversees teaching and assessment processes, supports scientific research, develops academic programs and qualifications, enhances academic quality, and activates partnerships related to education and cultural heritage.

Objectives of the Academic Administration

Design, develop, and accredit educational and professional programs that reflect community needs and support the safeguarding and preservation of cultural heritage.
Ensure the quality of education and training by applying academic and professional quality standards in program and qualification design and delivery.
Prepare learners academically and professionally in cultural heritage fields with a focus on labor market competencies.
Develop and periodically review academic policies and procedures to ensure alignment with national and international developments.
Support scientific research in cultural heritage, anthropology, and the documentation of intangible cultural heritage.
Promote innovation and quality across academic and administrative operations.
Efficiently manage student affairs through admissions, registration, student records, and academic support services.
Strengthen academic and professional partnerships with educational, cultural, and professional institutions locally and internationally.
Achieve integration among departments, units, committees, and supporting frameworks to unify procedures and accomplish common goals.
Support the Institute's objectives through education, training, research, scientific activities, and community partnerships.

Organizational Structure of the Academic Administration

Level 1

Director of Academic Administration

Direct Reporting Units

Assistant Director for Financial Affairs, Secretariat and Administrative Support Unit, Program Development and Accreditation Committee, Medical Clinic, Design Unit.

Main Departments

Education and Quality Assurance Department, Student Affairs Department, Graduate Follow-up Department, Research and Studies Department, Scientific and Professional Activities Department, Manuscript Restoration Department, Policies and Strategies Department, Monitoring and Electronic Archiving Department, Academic Partnerships and Communication Department.

Supporting Units

Innovation Unit (under Manuscript Restoration Department) and Marketing Unit (under Academic Partnerships and Communication Department).

Supporting Frameworks

Advisory Council of the Academic Administration, Partnership Council, Al-Mawruth Library, Alumni Association. These frameworks provide advisory, coordination, knowledge, and professional support and are activated according to their functions in coordination with the relevant departments.

National Qualifications

Partial Level 4 Qualification in Collecting, Documenting and Safeguarding Intangible Cultural Heritage (Code: ART04002NQ20-N, 23 Credit Hours).
Partial Level 4 Qualification in Administrative Operations in Cultural and Heritage Institutions (Code: CUL04001NQ20-N, 23 Credit Hours).
Partial Level 4 Qualification in Manuscript Restoration and Conservation (Code: CUL04003NQ20-N, 23 Credit Hours).
Partial Level 4 Qualification in Museum Guiding (Code: CUL04002NQ22-N, 18 Credit Hours).
Level 4 Diploma in Business Administration for Cultural and Museum Institutions (Code: CUL04004NQ25-N, 65 Credit Hours).

Admission Requirements

Registration Form, High School Certificate (or equivalent), Valid Emirates ID, Valid Passport, Successful completion of the Placement Test.

Graduates

115 graduates from nationally accredited qualifications approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. 560 graduates from locally accredited diploma programs offered between 2016 and 2020.
